The WASH (Water, Health & Sanitation) program was initiated in 2016, as part of our CSR initiatives and over the last 2 years we have been able to make a direct impact on 11858 students across 11 schools of West Bengal. This program has ensured equal access to water, reduced environmental health risks by managing sanitation safely and with dignity, developed students as change agents in managing water and sanitation resources and promoted safe hygiene practices to maximize the benefits to the communities. A host of the GCPL citizens came forward in support of the WASH project and they generated much affection and goodwill amongst the students and teachers as they visited the schools where the project was implemented. They closely interacted with the beneficiaries and got a first-hand experience of the various issues being faced by them and the huge positive impact that our intervention has brought about in their lives.
